Some thoughts on teacher participation
Increasingly it has come to my attention that technology is underused in the classroom. I can see the results of inadequate training of and support for teachers, but some of the fault is that it has not been mandated that teachers should comply with the national standards put forth by the ISTE. If it has been mandated the policy has been loosely enforced at best. I am still in the process of formulating my ideas on this subject, but I believe that a little bit of knowledge and some equipment can go along way in a classroom. Teachers must be open and accepting of new means of communication.

So true - but - you need to look at the lack of support given to teachers in this area. so often they are given new tools with no idea how to use those tools or how they can use them to enhance their students' curriculum.
